Wedding Story of Lara and Leon Batkilin.

Lara and Leon's story is rather out of the ordinary. Their first romantic date happened after 10 years of knowing each other. Their parents were very close friends and certainly the kids would see each other at various family gatherings. For his part, 20-year-old Leon didn't pay too much attention to an 11-year-old girl. Larisa, growing up and looking at her male peers, never thought that she might date this “older guy” sometime in the future. When you are 15 years old, everyone who has already graduated from school are “the grownups”, living in a different world.

It did so happen that Lara and Leon had not seen each other for a while and when they finally met again, Lara was already 20. She was no longer a little girl brought by her parents to the party because they couldn't leave her home alone - she had become a beautiful young lady now. Leon suggested a date right away. According to Leon, he made the decision to marry Lara right on the first date.

Four months later, Lara and Leon went to Miami to celebrate New Year and a few minutes before midnight, Leon gave Lara her ring and said that they should enter the coming year together. The year 2005 started with all the pleasant anxieties of getting ready for the wedding.

Lara approached everything seriously: she started by searching the Internet, bought a lot of wedding magazines, and listened closely to advice from her friends. Her mother's former co-workers recommended the photographer, and our magazine, “Russian Bride” was where she learned about Monica's Bridal Salon, where Lara found her perfect wedding gown. Lara said that “Russian Bride” magazine turned out to be the most informative one because it advertises the very best businesses in New York City.

Orion Palace, the catering hall chosen by the engaged couple, offered them a full-service option, even including invitations. It was a perfectly organized festivity attended by 200 guests.

Lara and Leon had plenty of time to prepare: from New Year's Day to September. That is why they were able to pick the wonderful shop for the groom's outfit - 1800 Tuxedos. The hair stylist, Olga Kay, and makeup artist Kate Iniakina-Romanoff were perfect choices as well. Larisa's advice to all future brides and grooms is not to do anything in a rush, listen to advice, and search wedding websites and magazines. For all those living in New York, think about the companies that she and Leon chose. They were very pleased and can recommend each and every person who helped them to make their wedding festive and beautiful.
