New York Wedding Rings advices

Virtually every nation in the world regards a wedding ring as a symbol of marriage. Both men and women wear it on their left ring finger in the United States . The tradition of placing a ring on the finger of your beloved originated in ancient times, symbolizing a new beginning, eternal love, and a pledge to be together.

The first ring given by the future groom is the engagement ring. The selection occurs prior to the proposal. Choosing an engagement ring depends completely on the groom's taste and budget. However, the bride's preferences should certainly be taken into consideration as well. The wedding rings that the bride and groom will place on each other's fingers during the wedding ceremony can be selected later and purchased together. Knowledge of certain intricacies is useful in making a good choice when purchasing a wedding ring. It is not just precious metals that compose jewelry. Other metals are added to gold and silver - metals that alter the look and add certain characteristics.

Gold is smelted with other metals such as silver, copper, palladium, nickel and zinc. Silver and platinum are alloyed with copper. The proportion of precious metals in jewelry items is indicated as a hallmark (purity mark). The manufacturer places the hallmark on the item, usually on the inner surface of the ring, denoting the percentage of a particular precious metal in the mixture.

Wedding rings are manufactured from gold and platinum and have the appearance of smooth-surfaced bands. Most couples prefer to purchase matching rings made from the same materials, bearing similar stones.

Diamonds are considered to be one of the most popular stones in rings. The price of the diamond varies depending on the cut and weight (measured in carats). Each stone comes with a quality certificate that indicates its authenticity, weight in carats, and clarity.

Other precious stones can be used to adorn wedding rings, such as rubies, emeralds, sapphires, alexandrite, and pearls. Semi-precious stones such as amethysts, turquoises, garnets, tourmalines, and others serve this purpose well. As a current trend, the majority of newlyweds favor white gold or platinum over other choices, because these are considered to be the most expensive and dignified metals found in nature for rings. These metals are unique because they are non-allergenic, show virtually no signs of wear and tear, and always retain a natural glow. Platinum goes well with nearly every stone, but remember, you will have to wear your wedding ring every day. Make sure that your selection fits your sense of style just as perfectly as it fits your finger. Russian Bride hopes your relationship is stronger than platinum and brighter than a diamond!
